The room was very comfortable, equipped with air conditioning and a safe, and there were many delicious local food options available for meals.

The rooms are good sized with terrace and the staff are exceptional.

The hotel is excellent value for the money. The staff are very willing to help with any queries. The lounge area is very pleasant and the honesty bar a nice touch.

Its a pity that because of the residential area the hotel is in there is some disturbance from dogs barking. However after seeing the 'Hotel zone area' we much preferred this hotels location.

The staff were great - helpful when you needed them but discreet when you didn't.Alwasy pleasant - they a real boon to this hotel. Plenty of room - we loved the balcony. The breakfast was excellent, fresh and serevd beautifully. Although we didn't use it I thought the honesty bar was lovely idea.

The entrance was difficult if you were on foot. The door opened straight into the road ( a warning sign might be good idea)

Everything about the hotel was excellent. The staff were remarkable. The room was clean and quiet. I could not possibly want anymore for the price paid. I can boldly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants peace and very pleasant and helpful staff.

Lacking of toilet paper eventhough the cleaner came everyday, After the room was cleaned, there was dirt everywhere, they didn.t change the towels even though they were lying on the ground, they just picket them up and hang them to the wall. There wasn.t any opportunities to eat what so ever. You woke up every morning for the barking of 10 dogs outside so the windows wasn.t sound proof at all. When I needed the staff to call me a taxi to the hotel, I had to wait any staff to show up for a half an hour. When I came to the hotel after 9 O.clock, there wasnt any lights on and you couldn.t turn the lights on anywhere so it was like arriving to a dark hallway and it was hard to find the key hole.

Nicely appointed hotel with flawless service and perfect location so close to the waterfront on foot as well as Old Town and Santa Maria restaurants and bars. Very attentive and thoughtful staff always on hand.

The Molhe Hotel is situated 10 minutes walk from the centre of Funchal -quite steep coming back but the bus stop is right outside the hotel. The room was extremely comfortable with a kitchenette if you feel like self catering. The staff were extremely helpful & kind & happy to assist us in any way.

Only the steep walk from the town after a pleasant evening meal!!

friendliness of the staff location and view facilities

you can easily walk from the city center, however the way is a bit steep, a good way to keep you fit after a dinner!

We liked the size of the room, very spacious and with lots of closets. Garden view is very relaxing. Extremely helpful staff and very clean premises. They contacted us few days prior to arrival via e-mail, asking if we needed any assistance, sending us detailed directions to the hotel, which we appreciated very much. They also have a safe private garage.

The only downside is that hotel is located uphill from the centre, but then again whole Madeira is on hills so it is nothing unusual and there is a bus stop just in front of the hotel.
